RESOURCES

A significant part of organizing and simplifying is assisting clients to dispose, recycle, or sell items that do not fit their lives anymore. Be assured that Simplify for Life will assist in this endeavor.

DONATE OR SELL

Are you wondering where to donate in Virginia or Washington D.C.?  A wonderful website for ideas to divest items is the resource page of the Washington D.C. chapter of the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals (NAPO). The resource list contains the most current listing of charities, donation sites, recycling information, and waste disposal. Additionally,  WDC-NAPO’s business partners are listed under the resource section which includes appraisers, and companies experienced in understanding what and how to sell possessions.

RECYCLING ELECTRONICS

A useful website to find out how to dispose of any kind of electronic is www.earth911.org. Type in the search box what you want to recycle and then your zip code. The site will then refer you to a list of local businesses or recycling centers that will accept your equipment either for free or a nominal fee. Refer to the WDC-NAPO list for other ideas.
