Our Virginia and Washington, D.C. home organizing and simplifying process is straightforward and tailored to each client’s needs.

• Complimentary Phone Consultation – Speaking together allows us to outline your organizing project, get a sense of your goals, and create a fluid plan that becomes more defined during the first appointment. If needed, a needs assessment questionnaire can be utilized to assist the client in defining goals and priorities.
• First Appointment – During the first appointment, we will review the organizing plan and start our work.
• Organizing Process Includes – 1) Categorize items, 2) Edit out what is no longer needed, 3) Review existing storage and make recommendations of possible additional storage options, 4) Problem solve and break the project down into manageable tasks, and 5) Create the easy to maintain system.
• Processing Items – The organizer can coordinate donation pick-ups and offer guidance to sell any identified items.
• Appointment Notes – The organizer will send notes after every appointment with follow-up tasks and a summary of the work session.

Many small spaces can be organized in as few as several 3-hour appointments. Larger jobs can be scheduled with an agreed-upon timeline.

Standard Organizing Services

Standard home organizing services include physical space organizing of any room in a home and organizing of schedules, tasks, calendars, and digital and paper organization to help tame mind clutter. Our professional organizing service helps clients gain control of their physical and mental spaces by learning a stream-lined process to get organized and stay organized. All projects are collaborative, goal-oriented and tailored to each unique situation. We charge by the hour and have a 3-hour minimum. The needs assessment process (excluding the report) is part of the standard organizing services.

Organizing Needs Assessment

Simplify for Life can also provide professional guidance to help clients start their own organizing projects. If you want to organize your space yourself, with some professional guidance to get started, then you may want to talk to us about our needs assessment process. Sometimes it is helpful to have an organizing professional, with a fresh pair of eyes, make recommendations, provide guidance, and offer suggestions for improving the space. Our needs assessment service will provide recommended changes for a plan of action to get organized. This service includes a needs assessment report that will detail suggested items to purchase, possible recommendations for change, and an analysis of what appears to be working and what could work better. The report can be used as a guide for the client to use or to hire us to do any part of the project, as needed.

Project Management

Simplify for Life offers complete project management services that range from coordinating moves, downsizing, event planning, home construction and renovation projects and snowbird services. Many projects can benefit from the expertise of a professional organizer. We can assist you to manage all the details of your project, track it, maintain the schedule and coordinate some or all of the many pieces of most small and large projects.
